Skirts, Boots and Scarves

If you live in a colder part of the world, you’ve probably figured out the whole short-shorts and snow thing just doesn’t work. Of course, if you follow the latest fashions in pop culture and warmer parts of the world – jeans just aren’t what you want to wear. If you want to wear what you like but the weather won’t allow it, maybe it’s time to move.

Or you could just try cold weather fashion! Boots comes in all shapes and sizes. From ankle boots to fur lines boots, you have your choice of how much heat you want to hold in. Bare legs are not an option unless you want to lose weight by shivering. Invest in some tights, leggings and thigh highs and leave the bare legged look for summer. Of course, wear what suits your body shape and colors that flatter your skin tone.

The same goes for skirts – why skip wearing them? No matter how short the skirt, a pair of fashion leggings can keep you nice and warm. Long skirts combined with boots are very comfy, but you can still show off your ankle boots. A long scarf can also add a stream of color if the rest of your outfit is too subtle.

A few notes on color though. Wear the season’s colors and make sure to always match your boots to your skirt or scarf. Wearing too many colors can make you stick out like a sore thumb – pick your favorite season color and stick with it.

One thing is certain, people love their pets. One of the emerging trends in today’s pet world is that people love to dress up their pets. Pets are dressed to the nines these days and transported in posh pet purses as well.

The dress up trend for pets seems to have started in Hollywood. Paris Hilton’s Chihuahua was almost as famous as Paris herself. Alyssa Milano made celebrity news by dressing up her dog named Peter Pan as, what else, Peter Pan. Dressing up in costumes can certainly be a family affair; Tori Spelling dressed up her entire clan as bumble bees for Halloween, including the pets! Jessica Simpson’s dog, Daisy, was often seen dressed up as various fun characters as well.

Pet costumes are great fun, and can be found online at a number of places. Specialty pet stores are carrying an extensive variety of pet costumes. Pets can be dressed as ladybugs, pirates, ducks, or even as their arch enemies, such as a dog dressed as a feline. There is a misconception that pet costumes are only for small dogs, but that is far from the truth. Costumes for pets come in many different styles and sizes for any pet.

Let’s face it, people follow the Hollywood trends, and costumes for pets are no exception. Do not be surprised if you visit your local park and see many pets in different costumes. Pets are like children to some people and pets are pampered! Costumes are a fun way to play with a pet and pamper them as well.
